Continuing the week with another rocking female groove, I present to you Canadian/German/British Alice Merton (if you haven't already heard her a dozen times on your alt station). A sudden darling on my local station, I keep hearing bits of this track when I'm flipping the dial and finally tracked down who/what it was this morning. Hitting the ground running with a solid label (Mom + Pop) behind her, her first EP (which this song is part of but which is not on Spotify) came out in July and won an award in Germany already.

The Pack a.d. is a female duo from Vancouver with a sound heavily influenced by bands like The White Stripes and Band of Skulls. Their new album also titled Dollhouse is out soon.
